Door Ajar light, and CD Player - Help please

I've got a 2003 single-cab 2.3 with a 5spd. Today, my "Door Ajar" light came on and stayed on after I closed my door. I tried re-closing both doors to see if that would help, but nothing, it's still on when the key is "On." I've looked everywhere for the button, but can't find anything... Any ideas what could be wrong?

Also, I don't know if this is related, but my CD player stopped working. It used to be that it would work until I put in a CD it didn't like, then it would try to eject the CD while making a clicking noise. Now, no matter what I stick in, brand new, old, burned, whatever, nothing works... Any ideas? Could my CD player just be pooped out?

the switch is in the latching mecanisim. spraying with WD-40 or a lube of this nature and opening and closing the door while spraying usually takes care of the door adjar prob. the cd players in all fords i've known burn out quick. had a 99 escort and a 2000 ranger that didn't last a year. same prob you are having. my friend's 2005 explorer's only made it 6 months!!!

Well, thanks for the info. The door thing worked. I'm going to use my warranty I got from DriveTime and get them to fix my radio. It's good for 30 days, so I guess in a month I'll be buying an aftermarket unit.. Sad, I was extremely happy with the layout of the stock radio..

i replaced the radio and it sounds twice as good even with the stock speakers.glad to hear you got the door alarm fixed. it can get annoying!!!
