Can anybody tell me what this code means. Just to let you know the truck has 160,000 miles and runs a rough when it's a idle. It also on occasions when it first starts has a very high idle around 2000 rpm but on occasions stops when It warms up

Excess fuel entering rt bank, engine misfire one possibility.

Leaking fuel pressure regulator is another possibility. How does it start after sitting for 30 - 60 minutes?

Hard to start, like it not getting enough fuel. When you start the first time in the morning no problems starts right up.

Sounds like a bad regulator to me. They leak fuel into the intake and if you start it after 30 or 60 minutes. The engine is flooded and it can even backfire.
Overnight the fuel evaporates and it starts fine. What year is it? 96 - 99, you have to take the upper intake cover (black plastic) off to get at the regulator.

It"s a 96. You're right on about the back fire it happens once in awhile. Any tricks on taking of the intake cover. Is it a siplle removal.

I have not done one but I found this http://www.streetandperformanceelectronics.com/vmaxinst/11011%20Install%20Instructions.pdf
Which are instructions for a spacer manifold between the upper and lower intake. It should give you a good idea on how much work it is.
By the way, if you have never replaced the intake gaskets, now would be a good time. All of the original gaskets will eventually leak. If you don't know or if you are not leaking coolant, then I guess you can take a chance.
Good Luck,

I figured that most have but with as much work as it is to the upper intake off, it is a shame not to do the intake gaskets if they have not been replaced.
Good luck and I hope the regulator fixes your problem. A leaking injector can also cause your problem but the regulator is a very common issue on these vehicles.

Topping off the gas tank will cause that code too.On an OBD II vehicle,do not top off the gas tank. When filling up the gas tank, stop filling when you hear a click, the evap system needs some space.
