Probably would be a good idea since you would be having to disconnect the o2 sensors.

How do you guys install headers on those things? THERE IS NO ROOM!! I guess I should ask the 4.6 Mustang guys that to. Give me a good old 5.0 Mustang and there is plenty of room to work!! I'll never forget the episode of Horsepower when they had to drop the engine WITH THE FRONT WHEELS AND SUSPENSION JUST TO TAKE OUT THE ENGINE!! Love the T/A and Z28...OK, I just love the T/A....I hate the Z28 (ya know...the Ford VS. Chevy thing) even though they're the same car. It's just easier to like the T/A, looks better. But that's just alot of work to change the engine to me.

First...Battery. I did..don't have to but its never a bad idea when you're going to be leaning near the battery especially with wrenches in the area(one wrong move and a nice sound/light show will happen for a few split seconds.

Seconds......Headers aren't that bad. Get the last bolt on the passenger side from the bottom...break the header bolts loose with a 10mm wrench and then use a 1/4" rachet afterwards. On that last bolt on the passenger side, get a rachet wrench and go to town on it. The hardest part I have have had(3 different sets) was the ypipe bolts where they connect to the manifolds. I can have both manifolds off in 40 minutes after getting the ypipe off.

Yes, 5.0s are easier to work on but more room in the engine bay. I work on my LS1 and its not that bad. You get use to it :smokin:
