Man I just can't seem to get a break of time lately, always seems to be something! this time it's my car I just wrecked this weekend and unfortunately it was all my fault so no ins. is going to be claimed. all out of pocket to repair this one so again, there goes even more of my time....:banghead: :banghead: . I do know it could have been much worse so I am optimistic about it but it does suck that it's the rear 1/4 panel, the pretty much worse spot on the car to damage but it is actually alot more cosmetic than it looks, I was able to pull it out a pretty good amount today but it got to dark to take pics. Either way the panel will have to be replaced but I may buy another REX to drive until I get this one fixed, time will tell. It may not be models but at least I am still working on cars:rolleyes:

What happened? I remember you had glass issues a few months back. They are going to have to remove that rear quarter glass to replace the panel. You have shit luck man:( Hope things get better for ya.

humm.. I would do the driver side the same way and tell people it's a new body kit. Cheap way to solve this problem.
Nah seriously, it could be worst. a Junk yard might have that panel available. Sure will need a paint job $$, but...

Yeah bad luck can seem to haunt me but good things always seem to come out of my bad situations, that is the only way I can look at it. I was basically taking an on ramp pretty quick and my "not so new tires" did not react to well so then rear end went out on me, I was turning right so the driver side went out, then I counter steered to the other side of the road where my pass. side hit the grass and continued to drift for about 30 feet before plowing a "Yeild sign" of all things but there was a pole next to the sign also and that's what actually smashed the 1/4 so bad and did the most damage. I was able to get the car back on the raod though w/o even dropping below 40 and just continued on my way since I did not plan on seeing any cops or making a claim, if not for the damn pole and sign it would have just been a loose of contro, some drifting and a full recovery. DAMN SIGNS!!! oh wellm live and learn, check out the after pics once I pulled the 1/4 back out to clear the tire, not bad for a driveway repair job w/o any real body tools, just a sledge, a pry bar and some big channel locks.

I was just going to post that you probably need to pay attention to those rear tires before worrying about any cosmetic damage, but I guess you know that already:icon16:

I do like the "after the horse has bolted" approach to tire replacement ;)

Yeah and I like the " I am going to scram and let the taxpayers foot the bill for all the damage I caused " approach:nono:

Well as I say what goes around comes around and I have been screwed over plenty of times to alleviate any guilt of knocking over that stupid sign that should not have been there anyway. better placement would have completly avoided me hitting it, but of course if I was driving slower that would have been the same result. It's just one of those things you can't "do-over". But yeah I don't feel bad in the least for that damn sign, the city laughed at me when a pot hole totalled my old GS-R so they can stick it where the sun don't shine as far as I'm concerned.:evillol:

Well the only thing I can't do myself is cut and weld in a new rear panel so that is why I will probably just switch everything to a new chassis and just when this CRX was "Getting there". To answer your question, yes there are suspension mods and engine mods and alot more for that matter, just check this thread on my website if you really want to see all the work I put into this REX before the accident.

and here are all the pics I have taken of it since I had it.
