Im getting a new ride!!! ... i think...?

Hey everyone! its been awhile since i last posted in this forum... i just wanted to come back and inform you guys that im finally getting another car. Dont be mad but well heres the story... Over the last weekend i met this guy who hasd a 12 sec street car at a local gas station where all the racers meet up at. The car that he had was a Stock gold 92' Civic hatch with a JDM h22 motor and the only modification that was done to the H22 motor was Skunk2 Cams & Cam gears. The car was smoking everyone left to right on the streets and even V8 mustangs and all. He had a for sale sign and he wanted $5'700 for the car. But i got him to lower it down to $5'200. I know you guys must hate me but that is a damn good deal for a 12 sec all motor street car. I went to get a $5'000 loan form my bank... so pretty much its up to me... What should i do?? Heres another thing.. my dad dont want me to get it because he is scared that it might not be reliable.. so he offered to buy me a brand spanking new car :iceslolan. The reason why he said this to me is because yesterday i told him i was going to get the civic and he got mad and started say something like " i dont even want to see that car here... if it breaks down im not going to hassle and repair it" So then i got mad and said " You dont have to touch nothing on that car.. if anything happends ima fix it all myself" and i guess after i said that he kinda knew I was still going to buy the car. So the next day he ask me how much does the new 06 civics cost and i was like WTF! I dont want no damn 06 Civic si. So then i showed him the infiniti G35 and i "think" he likes it. But i wont know for sure untill by the weekend.



So as for now i still have my eyes on that H22 hatch... Sow hat do you guys think?

A h22 with no mods other than cams running 12's? I doubt it. I could see mid-high 13's. I dont know, I would go with your dad on this one. Why pay 5 and a half grand for a Honda when you could pay nothing for a brand new car? Evo's, s2000's, and RX8's are all between 18-22 grand used I would look into that.

Wel i forgot to mention.. it isnt bone stock.. the H22 has Skunk2 cams & cam gears... Intake... headers... Cat back... so it running i think somwhere almost in the mid 12's or high 12's. That sounds about right.. But yeah i can just pocket that money and get a new car huh.. but man new cars are too new to tear up... if i had like that hatch i wont mind like.. doing all kinds of crap to it but new cars.. im scared to touch and mess things up.. but yeah.. new car it is then. If your dad gets you a G35,............oh man, thats SWEET!

get the new car. It's a 15 year old body man, all sorts of problems could arise from it, new engine and all.

Evo time?

G35 are kickass cars. My friend's dad had one as a company car, and we took it out for more than a few runs and it does quite well. Very sleak and sexy, and its a god damn Infinity so it's going to be quality. Expensive though....but if your not paying for it, then who cares. Slap a few basic mods into it and your over 300 hp.

G35>honda.......even 12 sec. one.

Audi TT's are in the low 20k range or you could get a new Mazdaspeed 6. Also, the 350z's are sexier IMO and the same car for less money. I'd go with pr_ricer, I'd get an Evo.

there are really not to many new cars that I look at and say omg that thing is hot. Most everything that I like is a 1999 or older, except for like the evo and a few others

No offense man. But you asked a pretty dumb question. If my dad was willing to spend that money on me, then so many cars would come to my head it would ungodly. Well the reason why i cant decided is because you have to see it like this... your driving your moms POS car around town and all the sudden you see like a gang of imports racing down the street. Then you want to join them and you get the feeling like... damn i wish i had my street car so i can pull up and ran with those people. Well thats how i feel.. even tho its luxury it still wont be the same tearing up the streets like i did when i had my 2g. The car is too nice to abuse it Lol. But i didnt say he was going to buy me the G35... but i showed him because thats the only car that i liked and he "seems" to be interested in it... but i dont know. The car he wants to give me is the 06' Civic si coupe. Eww.. the car is nice an all... specially the 4 door ones but im not feeling it. And last night me and my gf went to the infiniti dealership to look at some G35 and it is nice as hell! Its like a 2 door big body.. But as for the 92' hatch... when i saw it over the weekend i feel in love with it! But then agian im like stuck in the middle now. And now the guy that has the 92' hatch thinks im bullshitting with the money. Like today when i was coming to work i seen a clean ass type R and that made me want the hatch more lol. So therfore... G35 and buy a 4g turbo kit...??

From all the reviews I've heard the new SI's aint half bad.

I still say spank em all with the Evo. The G35 will be nice and all, just remember it'll be heavy too. Specially with all the ladies you'd pull with that thing.

If it was my choice on a free car. Here would be my top three.

1. 2000+ BMW M3
2. 1999'ish Audi S4
3. 1999-2004 Ford Mustang GT (heck why not a cobra while I am at it, lol)

I dont know why you want to race with the other imports...I dont know (me being 18 and all) I just feel like I am outgrowing that scene. I want a mans car.

I am not telling not to get an import just dont get the civic hatchback...there pretty doofy looking. At the very least get a RSX-Type S.

My buddy has the same setup in his hatch. And he has a 75 shot. He isn't running close to 12's. He smokes alot of shit but I would say mid 13's at best.

I have seen sooo many tuners put tons of $ into Hondas and they never seem to get anything out of it. I'm sorry but if you're looking to go fast for cheap why aren't you going with the 4G63 AWD? Or you could get your dad to get you an Evo and with exhaust, intake, and mbc you're running 12s.

Oh the civic has full interior and is clean. All stock inside... But well i kinda thought about this one. Im going to have to pass on that Civic because i did a little research and i found out for about the same amount of money... i can build my own hatch with an H22. So therefore im not going to get it. Im going to wait 1 1/2 months to see if i ever get a car.. if not then im going to buy my own. I wanted a 95-96 Gsx but gsx models are soo hard to find. As for the Evos.. it looks hella clean.. i like the 04-05 models but then again i like the G35 :grinno: Well i will keep you guys updated on this one!
