I was wondering how often an oil change is needed on my car? I have a 1995 Beretta.

If you use a regular name brand motor oil I would suggest every 3000 miles. Synthetic oils will go longer but are more expensive. Opinions vary on this, I know people who change every 5000, even 7500 miles or so, and 10,000-15,000 with exepensive synthetics. I would stick to reg. oil and 3000 mile changes though. Our old 91 Corsica has 185K on it, had it since new, used Pennzoil 5-30 or 10-30 in it always. Might want to check on what brand was used in this car before, if you can. Always best to keep same brand of oil in them if you can do it. If not, choose a good name brand such as Pennzoil, Mobil, Valveline etc.

i like mobile full synthetic- change the filter every 3k miles and replace the fluid you lost... cheap and keeps the car running top notch

Something like that I would just use dino oil and change it every 3K.
