Couple of questions. What tranny does an 95 F-150 have if it's a standard (5-speed). Next, how would i go about changing the hydraulic clutch on it? Thanks.

I,m not real sure about the tranny, but I think it,s a Mazda. As far as changing the hydraulic clutch, if there's a hydrulic line running into the clutch housing(not an externally mounted slave cylinder) you have to remove the transmission or atleast slide it back. While you're in there I would definitely check out the clutch disc for wear unless you know when it was last replaced. If you don't want to unbolt it I believe you can see the thickness of it from undeneath, and compare it with a new one. You may want to unbolt and inspect it anyway( I would). If you do replace the clutch disc and pressure plate, I would recommend qenuine Ford parts. The Ford dealer parts man told me others cause chatter.(no, he wasn't just trying to sell me his parts) And yes I have heard people complain about their clutches not engaging smoothly.

Yes, it is a mazda trans. Pull trans back, and remove it. mostly easy to get the bolts out. Replace presure plate and clutch disc and you should be rockin. As far as to use genuine ford parts (aka: FoMoCo) I work at a ford dealership so i pretty much have to recommend it, but you shouldnt have any problems with an off name brand, or any clatter for that matter. And, Most of the 93-96 model f-150s with straight shifts dont engage as smooth as you would like it to. And if you want it to your gonna have to ride the clutch a bit. Hopefully this helps you out. I also just replaced my clutch and I have the same truck. Should only take you a few hours at the max unless you run into problems and you shouldnt.
