Hi Guys
First time in this forum, but I've always been a fan of the Prelude. I found a '94 Prelude for sale for $3,000, and I was wondering if that's a good price for the car. It's the regular model (no V-Tec), but clean leather interior. The owner dropped a brand-new engine in the car right before selling it, so it really has no miles on it. The car was also stolen once, and the damage from the theft was never repaired. It also has some body damage to the driver's side door, fender and hood.
Any thoughts on whether $3,000 is a good price?

3000 sounds fair - it depends on how much damage. You can buy a door, fender and hood for less than $500 at a junkyard. 4th gens normally go for about 5-6000 in good condition. It may be a salvage title since it was stolen and had damage.
Buy the car if you plan to do the repair work yourself, it's probably worth it to buy and fix if you don't have to pay someone for labor.
Don't buy it if you're planning to pay someone to do the repairs - it'll get very expensive, so you'll be better off buying a Prelude with no damage for a few thousand more.

I don't think that the Prelude is worth that much. I think it should be worth 2 thousand at most since it has a salvage title for theft and the body conditon isn't too great. I agree with Gohan, you should just spend a few thousand more and get a better condition Prelude.
