First 2 things I would think of: Fuel pump, There should be a fitting on the fuel rail (looks like a tire valve stem) that is used to check for pressure. If you have no fuel pressure then either the pump is bad, or the enertia safety fuel switch in the truck has been tripped.

Or, if you have higher miles, like getting around 100k it could be a problem with the timing belt.

Now I assume it's cranking fine, just not firing? So the battey should'nt be a issue.

To replace the cam sensor the head has to come off... and if the head came off it is very possible that the inertia switch was popped... check that first... if it is in the up position, push it down... crank a little bit and see what happens.

No, the head does not have to come off. But on the 1.9's the intake manifold does.

Ah... right you are... I misspoke. THe intake manifold comes off, but to do that the fuel rail is disconnected, and if whoever removed it was following a manual they would have tripped the switch in the trunk first (assuming they follow directions).

Sounds like you don't have fuel and that is the best place to start since it only takes 10 seconds to do.

Pull a plug and ground it to see if you are getting spark. Press the Schrader valve and the end of the fuel rail to see if you have pressure. If you don't have pressure your fuel pump or regulator could be at fault. While having someone turn the starter over look in through the oil filler hole with a light to see if the valve train is moving. If it isn't your timing belt broke. Reccomended replacement interval is 120,000 miles.

Right. No shrader valve for Zx2. I figured it was a regular scort cause there is a Zx2 forum in itself.
