Slight Vibration in Steering Wheel

Hi,

I have a 02 that has 36,000mi and I notice that at a stop in gear I can feel a slight rough vibration in the steering wheel that wasn't there when new. Once under way everything is normal.
I only use name brand gas (Shell and Mobil) and have put in a few cans of injector cleaner. Any ideas of what could be causing this?

Thanks.

First, you need to see if there are any error codes with an OBDII reader. If you don't have one, autoparts stores like Autozone will read the codes for you for free. Write them down and post them here. Also, make sure you have a clean air and fuel filter -- have you replaced them yet? It's too soon for a tune up, but there are other things that could cause this but without knowing if there are any codes, I'd just be guessing wildly.

thanks for the tips. I will try to get a reading soon. Air filter is a recent new one so it's not that, and I will just have to get a new gas filter since I have no idea if it is clean or not.

I dont think that is your problem, but I dont have the answer for it.
