Im a new memeber of this website and I've been reading all these posts on the clicking multisession switch and i just started having the same problem back in december with my 99 grand am se. Can someone please let me know the easiest and most accurate way to fix this problem.

Another thing, the beep after i press lock doesn't work anymore on my keyless remote entry. It locks but no beep and it really pisses me off. Should i try to reprogram it????? Answer please

Alright the tools you will need to start:
T-10 Torx Screwdriver
T-20 Torx Screwdriver
Electronic Contact Cleaner
Cotton Swabs
Di-Electric Grease (I used lightbulb grease, and it worked fine)
Tape

First remove the screws under the steering column with your T-20 Torx. Then unclip the three things in the back, remove the screw on to of the multifunction switch.

Here's the tricky part, wrap the wiper arm of the switch with a few layers of scotch tape. Then use the T-10 to remove all of the screws on the back of the multifunction switch. Pry open the switch on the wiper side (be careful), wipe off the the contacts with the cotton swabs, once its clean regrease it. Put the screws back together and take the tape off.

PAY CLOSE ATTENTION BEFORE GOING ANY FURTHER!!! THIS IS VERY VERY IMPORTANT!:

DEPRESS THE SPRING PIN, DO NOT Put it in there without depressing it (pushing it in) or else your horn won't work. Plug the three plugs back in and put the screw on tap back in. Put the plastic casing back together, and put the three screws back in.

If you have any problems PM me and I can help you.
