95 Astro eletrical glitch

I'm trying to help my son with his van except we're 800+ miles apart. He is traveling with his band in New Mexico. The problem is he lost power for the interior lights, instrumentation lights, radio and ac and I think heat blower. If there is a fusible link, can someone describe it and it's location. It seems to be more of an inconvenience right now but it would be nice if I could talk him through a quick repair.

I'm looking at the wiring diagram for all the components you've described. I don't see a fusible link in the circuits anywhere, but I do see two fuses -
Fuse 9 which is a 20 amp and fuse 14 which is a 10 amp. The power to the whole circuit comes in through the 20 amp fuse.
My van is a bit older and the fuse block is under the dash, I'm not sure about the location for the '95, under dash, under hood or a bit of both.
Also, the wiring diagram I'm looking at is labeled "typical" so I suggest that the amperage on the fuse be verified on the fuse block.

Thanks for looking. Is the fuse a typical 2 blade? He replaced 2 fuses. I think they were were the right ones. It won't keep them from traveling, I guess being "rockers" they can sing to each other on the way home. I don't have the haynes manual with me. (working) I wish I could find a 95 to look at.

I believe they are the typical two blade type. If they blew again, there must be a short somewhere - chafed insulation maybe.

It must be a main line into the block beacause as I look at the schematic, all the items in that circuit are not working. This may be easier to Dx than just looking for 1 short.

He replace the cig ltr fuse and blew again. When he got home he tells me they plugged an inverter into the cig lighter and tried to charge all their phones. Duh...problem fixed. What surprises me is what is running off that circuit. I bought the car used so I can't tell if someone messed with it. This Astro has been very reliable and I bought it with 133k mi. on the clock.
