Rear Window Defrost

My 99 Tahoe has the barn doors in back. There is some kind of problem on the left door with the defrost. The fuse blows indicating a short. The wires o n the glass looks fine. If I cover the contacts on the door frame with tape, the other door and rearview mirror heat works fine. Any ideas where to start looking? [email protected]
