Converted to Street STI

Hi,

I made this model for my gf, she likes WRX a lot...

It is the Tamiya kit 2002 WRC converted to street. I painted it with 5 coats of TS30 and 3 coats of TS13 Clear. Compounded and polished. It has 19" CE28N which I painted Light Gun Metal(TS42), and for the black parts I used Semi Gloss Black. For the rollcage, I also used TS 42. The seats are painted with Bright red with flat paint from Gunze laid on top of it. And the taillights are smoked.

Very nice! I'm not a huge fan of street converted Rally cars, but yours looks nice without all the normal Impreza WRC "War Paint" :D

Yea that was the wing from the kit. I added the tinted windows because I like it.

thats a really nice clean build, ive also converted this kit to street, i really liked making it

I like this a lot - I'm currently working on a 98 impreza street conversion and the colour scheme is exactly as yours except I was going to use Mica silver.
Tinted rear windows are a great touch and love the tinted rear lights as well!

Only thing I can spot is the front wheels seem to stick out a little and the gap to wheel arch is a little big for my liking - very minor issues though!

It looks cool, i'm really diggin the offset of the rims. It would of been cool if you had angled the muffler, just a suggestion.

Looks great plus its sporting my favourite wheel of all time.Love them CE28's. as far as the wheel being too big i dont think so, it seems big coz of the ride height, if it was lowered and tucked into the guards then it would be spot on.. Nice clean work.. well done!

That looks really good. Well done. I like the rims and tires, but in the front it seems like they are a little to big. Maybe its just the picture. Keep up the good building.
