Swap in an H22 or get a GSR

I want to get some opinions on something. I could 1. have an H22a swapped into my third generation prelude or 2. buy a 94 GS-R in good condition for slightly more. which way should i go? which engine has a better response to mods? either way I have to do something soon because my b21 is on its way out. thanks for your opinions~! :dogpile:

the h22 would be more responsive to mod, but its heavy as heck. i would get the prelude over the GSR. all you need is some force induction, bolt on parts, and you'll be seeing mid 13's already

I've never ridden in a Prelude, but my friend gave me a ride in his '99 GSR, and it was fun as hell...
I would say go for the GSR, the motor is already in it, so you wouldn't have to worry about swapping a motor, then modding it... you could just start with the mods...

take the gsr, i've heard the h22a was unreliable for anything more than light bolt-on mods (something about the rod/stroke ratio), and we all know the b18 is responsive to mods

b18c1 is definitely a good motor, but it won't gain power like the h22. yes, the h22 do have more horrible r/s ratio, but that doesn't affect the reliabilty of the engine. the only reliablity problem you'll run into with r/s ratio is if you raise the redline of the car. having a higher redline on a lower r/s engine will increase the sideloading on the cylinder, which is bad of course. :)
