so i was driving my grand am se 4 door and i came to a dead end road so i decided to make a u turn. ever since i made the u turn,my "ets" control came on with the the low trac light on. i was starting to think my computer was getting to be a bit screwy. i tried relating these 2 problems for some reason but i ran into a dead end. after i made that complete turn my power steering kicked out which is really wierd. Their was no fluid pissing out of any lines,my belts were all running smoothly. I got under the car to check my tie roads and my axles. everything looked fine. the only thing i can think of is maybe there is air in my power steering lines or the pump is shot. anyone have this problem?do you know whats going on? another problem im having is my dam service vehicle light soon light likes to come on. I've pin pointed that to the electrical. some fuses need to be changed as well as a few adjustments.anyone have this problem with the service light??

thanks

Check two things, first check to make sure that the battery connections are good. Low voltage issues can cause a problem with ets lights coming on. As for the power steering your problem could be related to a slipping belt on the pump. If the serpentine belt was not changed within the last 60k miles you may want to change it to make sure it is not slipping. Also check the tensioner, it could be worn and allowing the belt to slip this can cause a low voltage condition.

Finally, if you hear any noise coming from the front end you may have a bad wheel bearing and abs sensor. They are tied together and can cause the ETS light to come on. If you have it scanned with an ABS capable scanner that will pinpoint the issue for you.
