shocks and springs

2 questions:

I have a 95 blazer and...

1. I plan on buying new shocks, but I cranked the torsion bar in the front to lift it about 2 inches. Should I buy a 2in. longer shock or stay w/ the stock size?

2. I have seen add-a-leaf kits for 95 and up Blazers, but it does not make sense to me how adding a spring will lift the rear since the axle is above the spring and below. It seems to me that adding a spring will have the reverse affect. Am I just imagining things?

Thanks for any help.

Stock shocks will be fine.

As for the rear springs, any reason why you want to add a leaf?

Add a leafs are usually used if you plan on towing and you need to increase the support in the rear.
If you are trying to lift the truck either get a body lift kit or a suspension lift kit to lift it to the point you want.

yes that is one of the reasons. I will be doing some towing soon so I wanted to add some support to the rear. I was also looking to level the rear since it now sits lower than the front since I did the torsion bars. Besides, if I did go the route of a suspension lift, all it will do is put the springs over the axle rather than under how it is now. And a body lift will give me more clearance for tires but will not level the vehicle like I am looking to do.
