One evening, an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes
on inside people.
He said, "My son, the battle is between two wolves inside us all. One
is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance,
self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, pessimism,
superiority and ego."
"The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility,
kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, optimism and faith."
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his
grandfather, "Which wolf wins?"
The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

I disagree, I think that emotions like anger and happiness are caused entirely by outside forces.

But you can choose whether or not to let those outside forces effect you.

i agree
it's like my dad used to always tell me, "no can make you mad or upset without your permission"
i think one of the major problems with the world today is that people don't take responsibility for their own actions or emotions...it's always, "i was provoked!" or "he made me do it!" that's total bs.
no outside forces can "feed your wolves". you take outside forces and choose which ones you're going to feed "the wolves". whether you realize it or not.
