I just got the new TB LT - with all the bells and whistles except for the DVD navigation. I only had it for like a month and went up north all the way to Quebec Canada on a Ski trip. I love my TB but for only some things I wish I dont have:
1. Wind Noise is still there, Hey GM for a friggin 45K SUV why cant you fix this? I got Bose system but it sucks in the highway because of the wind noise.
2. Xenon lights will be nice if I have it. The blue light will make the snow much brighter.
3. Extreme cold temperature especially whenyou park the TB overnight and start in the morning there is a loud noise and then it will go away. I hav no clue what it is but the whole town hears it. ssssshhhh ps everyone is still sleeping. I cant help it.
4. The windshiled washer got frozen, why in the hell the Dealership put in a cheap low class windshiled washer. I bought this de-icer ws/washer named Rain-X and put only half because it filled up - that's when I found out it got frozen, normally it should take a galon. But the de-icer works it melted the liquid inside.

Its really that bad, I dont know if I will be happy with this SUV since I will be only using this truck for long driving cuz I have my XM satellite, dvd movies etc. installed here. IT IS REALLY ANNOYING ESPECIALLY ON 75 MILES. Also I get about 14 miles per gallon on highway. I dont know if I should put a higher octane or premium gas to get a higher mileage. The ride in the front is excellent especially the heated seats the suspension is very good. It's only the wind noise but I think if I drive it in the city it will be gr8.

No.

Read the gasoline thread that is permanently stuck at the top of this forum (at least, it is in my browser). Gas of a higher octane than your owner's manual calls for will NOT yield any better gas mileage or higher performance. Premium gas has some benefit in that it probably contains more, and better, additives such as detergents to clean the fuel injectors. Still, it's a waste of $$ to buy it all the time; an occasional tank of premium is plenty.

14 mpg sounds low. I get 18-20 hwy (04 L6 EXT).

Wind noise is a common complaint. One poster reduced it by GENTLY bending in the tops of the door a LITTLE BIT. Others say vent visors can help.

I agree, try bending te tops of the front doors just a little bit toward the car. Also, give your truck a few thousand miles for the mileage to improve. I noticed it improved significantly after 5k or 6K miles.

How exactly do you bend it. Can you do enough by just holding the door in one hand and pushing with the other or do you need to hold the door open with a 2x4 and apply lots of pressure on the top? I would like to try this but am worried that I will realy mess it up.

thanks for the bending solution, but I think if I will bend it, I will rather bring it to the dealer and have them look at it. I am not that skilled that I can bend the door and hope the wind noise will decrease.
