ranger new to me

my father-in-law just gave me a 94 2wd short bed with a 5 speed and a 4 cylinder. I have noticed it doesnt have much power at all. I have replaced the cat, fuel filter,and air filter. I drove it a little while my wife and I dated in high school and I remember it running better but that was six or more years ago.Is there any thing else I should check out/change. It only has 132,000 miles on it and it was free so a little money in it wont hurt at all.
