Transmission Issues '97 Venture

Hi there!
I posted sometime ago about my transmission problems. But here i go again
The transmission quit working along time ago after it had been rebuilt the symptoms was as follows: The car feels like sludgie i give gas and it wont barely move. I turn the car off for 10-15 seconds and start it up and i can again drive alittle bit around in the yard then the sludgie feeling comes back and i again turn it off and i have all gears again. I was told to check the VSS(Vehicle Speed Sensor) wich did turn out to be bad, but problem still persist. My next suspission is the Traction Control System is there anyway to disable that system more than button on dash?
Or is there any other suggestions on what to check, my problem seems more electrical then mechanical considering that it works somewhat fine after i turn the car off.
I did have an error code when the car first broke down P1870 or Transaxle component slipping
So my hope goes out to you all
