Replacing Auto Dimming mirror

In the process of replacing my auto dimming mirror in my 97 Grand Prix GT I think I inadvertantly shorted out the power line changing the connecting plug. Does anyone know where the fuse for this would likely be. I checked all of the fuses in the glove box. As far as I can tell the wires are bundled with some wires from the overhead consule and then head over toward the passenger door. From there I can't tell where they go.

If worse comes to worse I can run a new power line. Where would the best place be to splice it into a accessory switched power supply.

Thanks,
Rod

when you shorted the wire, did you lose anything else, like courtesy lights?, as it's highly likely that it's grouped with other items nearby in the harness.

The auto mirror is fed 12v via the SUNROOF fuse which is 20 amp. So check there first. It is located on the passenger side fuse box at the glovebox.

Bingo. It was the sunroof fuse. I must of been having a bad day because I swear I checked every fuse. I blame it on the cold weather.

Anyway thanks for the quick responses I'm dissapointed that my local dealer couldn't answer this question for me.

Thanks again,
Rod
