1997 sts starter location

can anyone tell me where the stater is located..i've seen a couple of other post on earlier models that said it is under the intake manifold if this is case .how do i go by replacing it or should i just break down and take it to a shop...?:shakehead

Remove the intake manifold. Pretty straightforward on the Northstar. Buy a $20 Chilton or Haynes manual. It's all there along with pictures.
