93 Brake Caliper Compression

09-93 Isuzu Amigo...rear disc brake...
cannot compress the piston in the caliper to make room for new brake pads...is there some kind of magic todo this...c clamp wont do it...thanks, Jeff:banghead:

It sounds like your calipers are wasted. I had the same problem with my 91 amigo I end up getting new calipers . check your e brake cable to make sure it's not sticking ,which causes the brake to be on 24/7 . oops dead caliper!

Some Isuzu caliper pistons need a special tool (http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/Product/tf-Browse/s-10101/Pr-p_Product.CATENTRY_ID:2004106/showCustom-0/p-2004106/N-111+10714+600009601/c-10614) to compress them.

Really? I never knew that one . All the cars I've worked on and never seen that one .. :disappoin
Another OOPPs ah well maybe those calipers weren't bad .. :banghead: At least I'll know for the next time.
