I'm a member of Honda Tech but I'm crossing the river because i'm desperate!
I just put my (OBD1) ZC in today and it ran good at first, I drove it around the parking lot, back into the shop and it cut off.
I got codes 14 and 8
cylinder position sensor and IAC valve.
I switched the internals from my D16 distributor to the ZC one to no result. I'm getting fuel and fire but it could be not enough of either. I even switched the fuel rail from my D16 too.
This problem has reduced me to a nOOb and i'm not sure what to do next.
I can help you with a stock honda all day but this has me confuzed.
So please give me some ideas.

But i'm the most interested in just getting the darn thing started.:banghead:

Ok i've done a little more research and been able to sleep on the subject.
I had the distributor disconnected to turn the engine over a few times to prime the oil before I started it. They CYP code could have come from that. Also I need to check the ground.
I may have reversed the plugs going to the IAC valve.
Any further insight from that?
