replace light bulb indicator 96 camry

I have a 96 camry v6. my replace bulb indicator came on and i changed the bulb that was out. The indicator still comes on. I noticed that it comes on once I hit the brake pedal so I changed the brake bulbs. The indicator still comes on. How can I tell what light is out or if there is a problem with the dash indicator. I visualy checked all the lights and it seems that they are all coming on. can anyone help?

Have you checked the high mounted brake light? Many times this bulb is overlooked. Also, have you checked the brake lights with the headlights or parking lights turned on? There are some double filament bulbs that could have one of it's filaments burned out.

I have not checked the high mounted brake light. But I have checked the lights with the head and tail lights on. I will double check right now. thanks Mike

thanks for the advice. the 3rd brake light was out and I changed it and the indicator is still on. I am going to check the wire harness to make sure that it is in good condition.
