:shakehead :dunno: :dunno: :attention Hey everyone! I recently bought a 1991 honda prelude 2.0 si. I'm having seriousproblems ever since then. :banghead: Well...it all started one day when my car wouldn't start. I found the problem to be a bad starter - $100. Then...it started shaking up really bad - 45$ spark plug wires. I had some oil in the plug area...don't know if it's bad or not. I'm mechanically sound...i can take things apart and put them back together...not a problem...however...i need to know what could cause the shaking because its still shaking and i've replaced everything imaginable. plugs, plug wires, distributer (the whole thing..not just the cap). i don't think it's the vacuum leak because it does run for about 2 miles or so...max speed is about 45 miles per hour. It's all fucked up. I still need help. A friend of mine is a mechanic and he says he can easily fix the shaking problem......however....he says that he cannot fix one thing...and that is the instrument cluster. He checked it out and said that the actual chip that's in there isn't functioning at all. for that...i went to a junk yard and found a replacement dash board(yes...the whole damn thing). however...the color doesn't match. My interior is grey and this thing is blue. It sucks. I wanted to take out the instrument cluster and just swap it but don't know where in this bloody hell to start. Please help. I need to take that goddanggit apart, which i already have (i used the angle grinder and grinded/cut everthing off of the replacement dashboard, but as you might guess..i don't want to do the same to the original one because that's where the instrument panel is going. please help me take that thing out. plz plz plz plz pzl!!

I really don't know about the 3rd gens, but on the 4th, theres a bunch screws that have to come out b4 the gauge clusters come out. Check the underside of the dash above ur gauges. I has to come out some how. I wish someone could give u an answer without tellin ya to search for it. Good luck dealing with a POS gauge cluster that doesn't work is a pain in the ass. Sorry I couldn't help ya out
