From which year Subaru use thier Mica Blue color on rally cars?
On auto color manufacturer I found 2 matches.
One have "1993 1998" codes and another "2001 2001".
I suppose that it will be color with "1993 1998" codes, right?

I don' know the answer for your question, but could you PLEASE post both colour codes here?
BTW, if anyone's interested in precise BMW colour matches, all the info is on www.bmwinfo.com - with all the names and codes (really helpful for us modellers) :)
Anyone knows a Scooby sie that has such codes?

Codes are from Standox color firm, not Subaru so that codes can't help everybody.
You can find any color codes for your car on their site and they are international firm.
You can find it on http://www.standox.com

hrmodeler,
I have checked this with Prodrive here in the U.K. who run the Subaru rally team, The specific colour on the cars is a special colour, not one from the Subaru road car range, although the WR Blue on the new shape impreza is supposedly the closest that Subaru make. When I finally get around to building mine I think I'm going to use an MG Rover colour called trophy blue, it looks quite close to me.

Steve, you wouldn't have the colour code for this one (i.e. the part of the VIN code). That way it's easiy(er) :) to find the colour.
Thanks

hrmodeler,
The mica blue was first used at the start of the 1997 season when Subaru started to use the WRC spec car rather than the original shaped group A spec impreza.
Ales,
I have an AKZO code for the colour which is BLVC9503, go to this link http://www.sikkens.net/mixit/index.html and enter what you know i.e. make of car, colour name etc and see what you can find.

Hmmm I just got that automotive paint. It's the dupont brand and the name of the paint was "555 rally blue" I found that from the 1997-1999 subaru paint codes. It looks pretty good, a little lighter than ts-50 mica blue. Used it on my skyline  I'll have pics up soon

sorry ales we don't go by chassis code here. All we have is a big big book full of paint chips and we pick our colors from there
