On the radiator below the fill neck. It's a square sensor held in place by spring clip.

Mine has never registered low coolant. Has never worked.

Do yo have to drain the coolant to remove the sensor? I just wondered if it will drain out there if I try to remove it.
My light is coming on all the time now, and the coolant level is fine. Temperature is normal. I had the infamous intake gaskets replaced a year ago.

KJRich, Yes the coolant level needs to be drained to below the level of the sensor before you remove it. Let us know how it goes. I have not bothered to replace mine for a year or so since the space to do the job is so tight. I'll probably do it when I next replace the coolant.
