I'm interested to know if anyone on here has dealt with this guy before.

http://www.bbadesign.net/ingles/English01.html

I ordered one of his RS200 resin kits 16 weeks ago (November 2005!!) and 3 broken promises later and no kit (and a dent in my credit card balance), he's now not reply to my emails.:banghead: :frown:

Has anyone had one of these kit directly from him??

Paul

Hi,

this company seems to have a major problem:

My dealer ordered at BBA some kits (one for me :) ) and payed them 6 weeks ago. Until today no kit arrived.

My dealer was told, the kits are on their way to him, recently the same was told ... :thumbsdow

... much talking - no visible activity ...

If the kit comes out like the delivery service - good night !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Micha,
I did in fact have a reply to my email last week. He says he has been unable to contact me due to an accident to his hand which put him in hospital for two weeks. He promised ( there's that word again) he would get my kit in the post and email a tracking number. I'm still waiting to hear from him......if I don't get my kit soon he'll be back in there again..:twak:

Hi I have been waiting since before Christmas.
I have also been getting the same emails.
I have sent him an email today, still waiting a relpy.
He does not seem to be putting any on Ebay at the moment either.
I will keep you posted.

Interesting - did he give the ' I posted the kit but it was returned as his local PO wouldn't send it' story....he did tell me he was sending two to the UK (that was Jan) and had the same problem with both parcels. When asked he could not offer an explantion as to why this happened.

He told me that the kits on eBay were not his - these were being sold by a dealer who had bought the first batch from him. Did you get the same? I complained when I saw these as he'd told me he had none left to sell and I'd have to wait until early Jan for one. :banghead:

The more I read the the more I think we'll never see these kits. :nutkick:

I'd like to hear from someone who has one of these kits..several went on eBay.

I did get the story about the parcel being returned.
But I never asked him about ebay.
As he was a new company I was willing to wait, but I do not know now.

Hi Paul,

this is exactly what my dealer heard - does he need some exercise concerning sending parcels ???

Looks like you guys are all F**ked. :grinno: This person seems to be in resin kits business on his own. Since he's on the "DL" and with no assistants, you all have to wait and see if he remembers he still owes you a kit or two. This is why i posted on another thread that i rather play it safe and order from stores within my country, and make sure they have it in stock. All i can find on this guy is an e-mail and portuguese phone number that he can easily cancel and disappear. Hey, but thats just me. I'm assuming its too late to stop your C.C. from charging you on this order?

We should have a recurring threat for us to post our bad experiences with stores and dealers. I have my own stories with Image Anime's poor handling of orders.

Good luck man. All I can say is keep bothering this person until you get your order. I dont know what else can be done with a foreign company.:shakehead

Good thing that I decided to wait for Reji or Rens RS200. Sorry to hear all of this from you guys. I hope you will get them in the end.

well just a ray of hope to you guys. it seems that he is a small operation and it is possible that after the first run he had to make new molds which could be the delay.Ive seen this happen before from more reputable resin casters but he should just be honest about it if this is the case. Also if this is the case then he shouldnt have taken your orders until he was ready to make the second run. I hope the best to you guys.

Well I can see we can rely on you for sympathy....

The fact is that when I emailed this guy originally he told me he could send me a kit within two weeks indicating he was just finishing up a second batch of kits. I checked how he'd like payment...and paid and seeing as I have paid by Visa , I'm covered. That was late November.....he then advised me it would be early Jan before he could ship any kits and his first/second batch had been bought by some dealers in Portugal - some of these found their way onto eBay...and so the story goes.

Frankly if do not get a refund or a kit I'll ensure he doesn't sell another thing - most online modellers view some sort of forum so I'll post there, and any I see on ebay - well the bidders will be informed... by the time I'm finished no-one will want to do business with him. So you see it'll be him that's F**cked.

need more sympathy?

They (moderators or anyone who can) should start a threat that remains open for members to only post bad experiences with stores or individuals they've made business with to alert other members. Like freakmech said, resin companies have this sort of delay with their orders. I go directly to my LHS, for resin seats, to avoid this sort of mess. I have to constantly call and once the order is in i have to get there right away before they are sold out.

Just keep messaging this person asking for the status of the order, but be cool about things or else this guy might just get upset and shove your order to the back of the line. Stay on this guys good side. Good luck

He emailed me the postal receipt to say it has been sent.
I will let you know if I get it.

Martin,
Me too. Same thing with an attached posting note....and a very apologetic email, though this was in reponse to my email 2 days ago which was not in anyway polite....he said some dealers had received complaints that there was problems with light lenses in the kits...and he had opened ours to put in some better ones..

He's indicated it should be here Monday. I do sincerley hope this kit is good and he sells a truck load of them...but he really needs to get his act together with posting. Making false or unrealistic promises and making customers wait four months just doesn't cut it with me. :nono:

No doubt we'll compare notes shortly!!!

Well good news to you guys! I told you there was a ray of hope and seeing as he is a new business i think he made the mistake of trying to make everyone happy instead of just being honest. Like i said before, ive seen this happen before but in the end everyone was happy..... well lets see how those kits are first be for we praise him too much. Please post when the kits arrive!

look at it another way; if the guy is trying to rip you off, he wouldn't need to reply at all.

I know BBA Design, I've done a interview with him for the first number of my magazine, with the RS200.

Here in Portugal some people already have the model, I don't know about outside.

I don't see him for a long time, don't know if something apened to him.

I hope you get your models. He wont sell any models on ebay, but some stores might do it.

I’m seeing this post here and I have to tell something about yours posts…

I know Bruno in person and he is a serious person so don’t worry about you model because soon soon the postman rings to your door whit the model to deliver to you.

When you see the model in the hands you will be amazed whit the quality of the kit. (There is a HUGE amount of pieces for you to paint and glue I can assure that….)

My web store was one of the fists to have the model kit and until now no one complained about the quality of the kit…trust me.

Besides that Bruno is an excellent and trusted person and a great modeler….. (Its one of my greatest friends).

About the delay in delivering the model…sometimes the things don’t go well for the great companies of resin model kit….imagine for a very small company making the first car…

About the number of the post office….here in Portugal the number aren’t followed…

About the rs200 that were sold in e-bay one was selled from me.

If you have any questions fell free to ask

(BBA DESIGN -Its an excellent dealer....stay tune.)

Regards
Paulo Salvado

Ps- Sorry about my English ;)

Well...you may wish to praise him all you like...as a customer I am very dispappointed with his service..unanswered emails... many broken promises...waiting four months....the kit had better be good.

It is interesting to note that I purchased a Lancia S4 transkit from Kengo Nishi last year, who is also slowly branching out into producing GpB resin kits by himself and I had none of these problems. This was his first kit. Dealers must be compared with one another, this is one way of judging quality of service. If BBA design is to be a success, he really needs to improve his communication and not to accept payment for a service that he make his customers wait four months for. :nono: Kengo Nishi used both of these principals in selling his kit.

BBA Design is a poor dealer with possibly a good product.
