I'm trying to do a few anime themed wallpapers using screenshots from shows i have either on my computer or dvd. When I take the screenshot (using the prt scr/sysrq button) and paste it into paint, it only works until I try to save it. After I save it, it looks like this http://www.freeimagehosting.net/4486e3f094.jpg Is there a program for this or am i just doing something wrong?

I can't view the picture, 403 forbidden, but best guess is the copy protection scheme on the disc is slowing you down.
You might try to aquire a copy of an application called AnyDVD. It should fix that (amongst other) problems.

I use a free program called VirtualDub to extract screenshots. You can skip through a video frame by frame, and choose the one that you want to capture. It works great with AVIs, but you'd probably have to get a little creative to make it work with DVDs.
