The head lights look nice! I think when I order projectors I want to get the paintable ones. I don't know anymore though cause the regular projector look is starting to wear on me. The tail lights are nice too but, for some reason I like the rear ends with out the center lights just the two sides. Looks nice!

Lol yeah it sorta does. When you get it painted what exactly are you doing? You wont just paint right over the center lights right? Is there some sort of blank panel you can put in there to paint? Sorry this is one of those random things that I have no idea about lol.

xavier3jr
02-25-2006, 12:58 AM
Well as far as i know im gana sand it down and put bondo over it to give it a good surface for the paint to hold?? is that right or should i go about it a diffrent way?

What about the stock center panel? Could you possibly use that? I know you probably won't put those new center lights back in but, it is just an idea.

is there even any purpose to those center "lights"

xavier3jr
02-25-2006, 01:16 AM
not at all

NateS

Personally, I think the rear ends look a hell of alot better with out the pointless center lights. When I edventually(if ever) get all my body parts I will deffinatly paint over the center lights.

I've seen some people put their reverse lights in those center pieces... Not sure if I would like it or not though... Its ehhh so so... Your new headlights look awfully familiar to me though.

Instead of just painting over the center piece, why don't you take it out and have a custom made one out of aluminum. You could have Eclipse etched in it or something and then paint it all.... Damn that would look sweet having the name Eclipse embeded in the center panel... I think I'll use that idea when I do my drop top TSi. lol

**EDIT**
Oh wait, it already says Talon on my center panel and I completely forgot that they were a different style. Man I'm a complete dumbass tonight.

Lol, I know what you are saying though. Now that you have mentioned it, I think I have seen something like that before. Something like the mitsubishi logo in the middle panel. I think I have also seen "Mitsubishi" in cursive etched into where the middle panel was then painted over.

Enjoy those halos for the 2-3 weeks they they'll last.

Still haven't got mine fixed. I wanted to find an orange bulb for orange halos but I never found a good enough bulb and I gave up. Ah well.

what powers the halo's that makes them so hard to replace?

XeVeNskyLiNE

Its basically just a simple bulb. What makes it hard to replace is its shape.

Its not like just a regular that you might find in a hobby shop (which I heard works just as well, haven't tried it yet), but its shape more in a "U" shape thats kind of contours with the shape of the halo.

About the orange bulb thing, I just haven't found any powerful enough that fit and light up the whole halo. So I was like fuck it.

Would you be willing to donate your old drivers side head light to a nice guy like myself?

Those lights use the H1 and H2 bulbs? Be careful because those bulbs don't put out very much light at all.

I'm going to go the cheap route and take mine off in the spring, redo the plastic bc its yellow in the one, and then paint the housing black. I think Tuners got the tutorial on how to do it. Full black car, smoked side markers, and then a full black housing... going to be sweet looking. So much cheaper too. I was going to buy some of those cheapo halo fog lights at pepboys and rip out those halos, and custom do mine then. Still may, depending on what I can find.
