I just put in a short ram intake (WAI) and as far as the iat sensor is concerned i didnt put it in the new elbow yet. My question is would it be better to put this in a warm air stream or a cooler air stream. For now I just laid it in the old air cleaner hole which gets a cool stream of air going thru it( I live in central NY and its cold outside), or should i drill a hole in the air cleaner or can i find a warmer area to remount it? Anyone have any ideas? Tom:banghead:

I am from Baldwinsville, NY( 20 min north of the 'cuse) and your about 45 min east of me. The IAT sensor needs to be inside the intake for proper reading. I think its a 5/8th bit and then all you need is a rubber gromet to hold it in place. If you ever are interesting in a Stainless steel WAI or CAI thats custom fit to any j-body, i am with a performance shop in Port Byron, NY. Intakes and exhausts are our specialty. or if you need help with anything, just ask.
