I have a 95/96 Golf GTi 2.0
Everytime the car comes to a stop the engine hessitates and then stalls when the clutch is put down fully. W0.
hen Cold the engine initialy is a bit hessitant but after 30 seconds this goes away and driving over 1500 rev's is fine and smooth.
The car has had a fairly recent, full service and has had the sensor changed in the exhust outlet.
I drive in alot of heavy traffic to and from work and as you can imagine it's a nighmare to have to keep the revs up at all times or suffer a stall, then to start the engine for 30th time that trip and hope that nobody noticed.
One good thing is that the car will always start again.
Someone please have a miracle cure as round-a-bouts are a life or death experence.
Any help with this would great :)

Deff reccomend cleaning the intake, injectors, and adding fuel system treatment to gas. Also remove the intake and clean off the maf sensor.

Thanks for Help.
The problem was the oxgen sensor on the exhust outlet. It had been changed before for a non VW part has must of been of a very poor quality. Now I have had a nice expensive German part fitted it is running 200% better. I also had a good clean out of mostly every thing and found alot of gunk!!! Nice!!!
I will take the advise and run some fuel treatment though the engine and hopefully that should get rid of any further little murmors.
Thanks. :p
