Where can I download country music

Can anyone recommend a site where I can buy & download country music? I'm not interested in the free sites, I want to find somewhere that I can buy the music and listen to it as many times as I like - no time bombing etc.

I really like Rhapsody. I think programs that are set up for downloading music are better than sites. I don't know if any programs are geared towards specific genres of music though, I don't think they are.

Oh yeah, I freakin love country music. I went to see Keith Urban last night. It was the best.

Thanks Nicole, I just had a quick look, and unfortunately Rhapsody doesn't work if you're not in the US (I'm in the UK). Do you know of any others?

Glad you enjoyed the concert. I've seen Trisha Yearwood, Brad Paisley, Jo Dee Messina, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Paul Brandt when they've been over here on tour. Billy Ray Cyrus was good (I'd only ever heard of "Achy Brachey heart" at the time). My favourite is Alan Jackson, but I also like Toby Keith, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Brooks & Dunn, Lee Ann Womack and so on.

I bet you wish you were going to get as lucky as your namesake who is going to be marrying Keith Urban soon???

lol...no. it used to be rumored that once you reached 500 song downloads you'd receive asubpeona from the FBI or something. a law passed though now no longer holds individual users liable. that's all you'll hear from me though

From my understanding, you'll only get sued if you actually share the music (you can turn sharing off in the preferences). Personally I'd recommend LimeWire... KaZaA is loaded to the gills with adware, and always messed up my computer. I.. um... *have friends* who have downloaded thousands of songs, and videos too, and never got sued. Again, I think it's the sharing, but I'm no lawyer.

no, it's not sharing. take it from me. ive been in this...um...business for awhile.

Ares is good too, i hatedlimewire, too weird to use. maybe it was just the switch. um, bearshare is the new program that's suppose to use area, limewire, and its own p2p network to find songs. it's massive, at least thats what i hear. ive stuck with ares and one other program that im not at liberty to share. :D

Completely off-topic, but no. I really don't find him that attractive. He's just a great performer.

I hate it when people tell me I look like her just because I'm pale and blonde.

awww, but you're a pretty pale!!! :icon16:

And racer, if you wanna be on the safe side, move the files. Depending on what you use thought, this could mess them up. I convert all mine routinely to WMA's using something I downloaded from www.download.com in fact, it's soon time now.

yes, i'm very orderly about all this. it's weird

Thanks for all the replies, sounds like I'm in the minority wanting to pay for the music....

If I download from I-tunes, what if any, options are there for the format I download in? ie mp3, aap, wma?

Damien

im pretty sure it's only w/e apple's is. go on download.com. they have converters for free. and yes, you're the only one that actually wants to pay. if i paid for all my music, all...idk, thousands upon thousands of songs, id be in debt to my grandchildren.

I am a big fan of Filetopia. I have it set up where as soon as a song downloads, it is moved to a seperate folder thats not a part of Filetopia. That way you don't share music, and your download times are shorter because there is no one downloading from you and sucking up your bandwidth.
