2002 E430 brake noise?

My 2002 E430 Sport all of a sudden started to make a winding down or whoooaaa sound while braking. Thinking that I needed new brakes I put on brand new slotted / cross drilled rotors and new pads. To my amazement this did not make the sound go away.
My Mercedes dealership said the noise is standard with 18 inch AMG wheels.
My response to them was why it took 3 1/2 years for it to start making the sound.
Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Scott

Tires can change "sounds" as they get to the end of their life, and if they have been on the car for 3 1/2 years and have much wear that could be it.
Also, done anything recently (other than brakes)? Tire rotation, change in air pressure, new shocks/struts, alignment, etc., anything you can point to mechanically?
These thoughts came to my mind as I read your post.

I had put on new michelin sports. So new tires, rotors and pads and the sound still continues. Someone told me maybe a wheel bearing? I do have a bent front right rim. Could that be why? The car has a little shake around 60 mph.
Thanks for any info!
