put bleach under the front tires, pull the ebrake, put your left foot on the brake, your right foot on the gas, and floor it

i dont think that everytime he wants to do a burnout in front of a crowd he is gonna get out and put bleach in front of his front tires. and doesnt that mess up his brakes?

oh well. he asked how to do a burn out. he didnt ask how to do a burnout to impress people. either way, a burnout isnt good for your car, so why would he care about his brakes?

Why would you even want to do a burn out...? warming up your tires before a race is one thing, but doing a burnout is overkill and stupid. All it does is destroy your car and attract the cops, two things I'm not fond of.

Burnout in a civic, huh?

1) get about 50-100 more lbs of torque

2) convert your car to rear wheel drive.

3) After steps 1 and 2, put your foot firmly on the brake, and slam the gas. This should start your rear tires spinning. Then take your foot off the gas and start spinning.

*** Please note, this post was a joke, because steps 1 and 2 are not only highly impossible, but if possible, extremely expensive. doing a burn out on a civic without steps 1 and two would require you to start on a bed of sand, or wet pavement.

if your doing a burn out to impress people you are an idiot rice boy and i hope you car blows up. the last 3 time i met up in a parking lot idiots in cavys and civics were burning out and the cops got called. an aspire can do a burn out so who the crap cares.

As was mentioned up above!!!

Jus Pull u're hand brake up as far at it goes.. and slam on the 'X'

NOTE:::: it's really bad for u're Tranny so i wouldn't recomend doing a standstill with an Automatic car.. u can drop u're Tranny on the spot...jus get a Stick... and save u'reself the trouble.

well in my moms trailblazer i went in reverse slammed it into 1 and slammed the gas while doing so and just stood on the brake. might be easier in her SUV because it had around 170 more pounds of torque than yours.

Well whatever you guys may think of this, whether it be stupid or unique or whatever, but if I had a car just to mess with, I'd put the winshield washer fluid squirters down in my wheel well and fill w/ bleach. Just an idea if you get bored on a sat or something :)

put your car in the lowest gear, pull the e-brake and slam on the gas, trust me, it'll work. :)

put your car in 2nd gear (the one with the NUMBER 2 on it), hold down the brake pedal to the FLOOR, give it gas until you feel your car going up or down a little. check your side mirrors, for smoke coming out from the wheel wells. once you see smoke count to 4, and switch to 3rd gear (auto tranny usually says D3) let go of the brakes, and roll out of your burnout. once finished switch to drive (D4)

hope this helps, it should work, but if it doesnt don't get mad at me! ...hahaha :smoker2:

ROFMLAMFFAO. are you retarded? do you know why they make a 2nd gear lock on automatics?!?!? the purpose of that gear is so you DONT burnout! (on wet/icy roads or hills). how the hell do you expect to burnout starting in second gear with a civic? :spit:

OK, lemme end this right now so there will be no more pissing and moaning. (by the way, I am a former civic driver, so don't think I'm some maxima guy making fun of you.) To do a burnout, you need torque. That is something Civics are not really known for. The best way to (attempt) to do a burnout in an automatic is to brake torque. That means hold your foot firmly on the brake and hitting the gas SLIGHTLY. Then, Take your foot off the brake as fast as you can while simultaniously slamming the gas as fast as you can. Then, you might get a few squeeks, but hey, its a civic.

Wel burnout can be done at diff times for diff reasons. I mean messign around w/ the boys and burning down a set of tires to have some fun and laughs is cool. In a public parking lot for cops to get called and what not isn't cool.

If you want to do a burnout in the automatic and it's pulling the ride and not spinning or just bogging you don;t have to find or get bleach just find you a hose or some water to put down and you will be fine.

I have done quite a few burnouts but it's only at shows for burnout contects or to tear up some old tires around friends for fun.

Hope this might help a little and add to alot of the BS and misc stuff in this thread....

Later... :frog: :frog:

if you hit both the gas and the break pedal at the same time it should jam the tourque converter, then lay it on the gay and you will have to adjust the amount of pressure on the gas pedal. you need a lot of torque do this....and you need to practice a lot before you do it to impress

its better for the e brake....listen if i can get my 1999 Pontiac Monatan minivan to peel out, with a little assistance of broken rocks, then I think it is easy enough for you to do it. Catch my drift?

all u need to do is put it in first, hold the clutch in put ebrake on, erv it up and let go of clutch, that way works nicly, and if u have an automatic dont hold down the brake and gas it, that totally ruins the brakes and gears.

instead of trying to peel out in a parking lot...maybe you should just do it on a dirt road...that's real impressive

look, if you have an auto civic, wait till its raining, or a neutral drop. There was this guy at my school with a 95 LX that would always think he was pimp shit, and did neutral drops, and then realised that he could light em up in the rain without any real damage to his car.

Still stupid, yes, but he doesent do that shit much anymore cause it got old.

sounds like torque-envy

1. You cant burn out in a civic without damaging something. (stock)
2. You cant burn out in an automatic without damaging the transmission.

as the wheels spin rapidly in an automatic, unlike a manual, the gears generate heat. very good way to pay for your transmission to be rebuilt

if you know what you're doing and have the right car, a burnout can be useful in warming up the tires so they stick better in a drag race. Or for fun as intimidation, basically a car pissing match. If someone is willing to waste their tires and has the car to back it up, it's not your problem let them do it. The cops probably would have been called regardless.

if you think a burnout is for riceboys you're in for a rude awakening. back in the day all the domestics had big blocks, small bodies, smoking tires. ahhhh what a wonderful era. Not one car today can compare to any of the 60's muscle...
