96 Brav hard to start when cold

My Bravada won't start easily when cold. It tries to start and runs for a few turns while cranking, but does not start. If I keep cranking, it will eventually start, but it almost drains the battery before it does. Once it starts, it runs fine. It also starts just fine when the engine is warm.

I changed the distributor cap but it didn't do anything. I also put fuel conditioner in the gas tank to make sure that it isn't the gas that is doing it.

What can I do to diagnose?

When you first turn the keyswitch to the first notch, listen for the fuel pump at the rear of the car. When it stops running after a second or two, try to start the motor. If there's no Service Engine light on then sparkplugs and sparkplug wires would be my next thing to try.

Mad try using HEET had same problem could be condensation mine would start when it felt like it
