70 Chevelles - how do you secure the hood?

Now that I am the proud first time owner of a 70 SS 454, I am wondering is there any way to secure the hood? Is there an easy way to chain/cable the hood down? Its just too easy for someone to open up the hood and start taking away the parts.... Recommendations? I will alarm the car, but that's just not enough.

They make a universal hood cable setup that will eliminate the pull under the front bumper, and route it inside the car like newer vehicles.

Thanks for the info. Whey you say "they", do you know a source? Or is this something I have to create?

I use keyed hood pins, because I have a 'glass hood, but you can also get one of those cable systems that just drive a steel pin through a bracket that you attach to the underside of the hood. some are simply a pull cable, others use a keyed lock to "draw" the pin from the driver's compartment.
