metro compared to suzuki

Hello I have a 1997 geo 3cyl 5 spd. I have a chance to get a 95-97 suzuki 4cyl for parts, it is one of those years, mostly for body parts because it is the same color. I am wondering if the tranny would fit or the front or rear hubs (brakes), if it has a intermitant wipers would it fit do I need to change the wiper motor.. In other words besides the engine which is 4cyl, would a lot of the accessories be interchangeable, thanks in advance

Just about everything would be interchangable. You'd have to replace the whole rear knuckle for the swap though. Not just the drum/hub. I'm pretty sure the intermittent wipers use a seperate controller box under the dash. I'd get a manual and check out the wiring harness before venturing into that. The column switch would have to be changed too. Body parts would be the same, and the suspension parts would be a bit beefier, because they're for the 4cyl. The front brakes would be bigger too. And it'll have front and rear swaybars. The tranny would fit, but the gear ratio will be different. More like 3.83:1 than the 4.10:1 you probably have in it right now. It'll be hard to keep it goin 70 uphill with that final drive. Not to mention harder to get moving, and probably will throw your speedo off.
