Yeah!! I get to pull my trans tonight!! I'm having a problem with my clutch. I determined it's not a problem with the hydralic lines/pumps. This is the first time for me to pull a trans on a 2g!! Wish me luck! I'll take pics and (if i live through it) i'll do a write up.

Yeah i'm done for tonight (and actually till monday, fucking drill weekends!) I didn't really do that much I was only out there for an hour and realized i wasn't going to get very far and i can't really use air tools after 10pm.

Have fun with that, I pulled my tranny and shit last week and it sucked something horrible... Oh yeah, your definetly gonna need air tools to get some of those bolts out when you pull your axles. I'll let ya in on a nice little hint now too. Pull the rear motor mount out completely before you try seperating the tranny from the motor. It was horrible trying to pull it out of there with the actual mount for the motor mount in there. Anyways, have fun and good luck.

Well, it is going to be a lot harder for him to do because he has very limited space to work with, He is within a half inch of his brother's car which is basically prep'd for painting lol. Also it is cold as balls outside, even with the garage closed propane heater, and huge heater lights, it's not a very working condition for him, Oh and to menchen it's really cold out.

i pulled my tranny out a few months back.. it was fairly easy and it was the biggest project that i have done on a car.. it took me and a friend like 6 hours to get the old one out and a new one in.. probably shouldn't have taken so long but like i said it was the first time i ever did it.. also it was a gs so it was probably not as hard but any ways good luck!

I had some time after work and my brother and i got some work done not too much but some progress. Maybe sunday I'll get it out then i need to find what the problem is exactly. Hopefully it not too expensive.
BTW why was this moved to performance? I don't care but it just doesn't seem like performance if anything problem diagnosis ;).

Wow, your making awesome progress man.
lol I'm just playin... I should get my tranny back on Monday or Tuesday and then I gotta remember where all the bolts are supposed to go for everything. That, should be veeeery interesting. One time when I rebuilt an engine for a mower I had like 7 bolts leftover. That thing ran good and strong anyways... Still not sure where the extra bolts go though. I just added them to my "box of leftover bolts." I have a feeling the box is gonna be gettin some more donations from the Talon after next week too. lol
Oh yeah. use a tow strap to hold your motor up too. It works great wonders.

lol it's a DSM fact to have bolts leftover once you're done turning wrenches, it's going to happen. I have like 50 in a "wtf bucket"
