ZOMG REAL VERTEX?
Vertex - Wow, you just paid 2000$ to get peices of Fiberglass that hang 4in off the ground... well, they would if you hadn't jacked your car up to retarded height to keep it from getting chipped. But at least you can jerk yourself off about Quality.
Version Select - Ok, 1000$, thats not tooooo bad. and you can still play the quality card...
Ebay - Wow, this fits perfect, takes an hr to get to the same gel coat quality as legit Vertex and cost 525$ shipped. 525$ shipped? What? you mean I can drive my car with it and not care? AWESOME.
If you buy legit Vertex your a toolbag. There is no argument. There is no way to justify it besides "I want to spend huge amounts of money on something for a name."

It's not about paying for names, it's about paying out of your ass for something you'll crack and shred in a month unless your car is a foot off the ground in which case you suck.

being a person that has put on more body kits than anyone on this 240sx forum....i will say pay for quality. Its not just a name trust me(after all they earned that name some how right?). Top secret, vertex, jun, bomex, uras etc. Bomex is not good quality either. Top secret and jun i would say fit perfect and have no flaws what so ever....its like stock. Then iv had the shitty 5-600 shipped kits. I basically cut the bumper into two seperate pieces. Hand molded a 2 inch strip of fiberglass just so it would be the right dimensions to FIT ON the car. THis was from extreme dimensions too....yes that ricer place in all the magazines. Thats just to get it to fit right. Thats not filling all the pit holes. Thats not reinforcing the fiberglass because it sags and dips from poor mold quality. If you pay 500 shipped, your going to pay the other 1500 in body work to make it look RIGHT and worth a fuck. So either way, your paying out the ass........
Now top secret and jun and what not most likely do tack on money for it being a name.....but they are specialty people thats how it is in any freaking business. And personally it is worth it. An r34 top secret carbon fiber hood is 6,200 dollars. No joke. The bumper was i think 1,300(frp). I cant remember but it was over a grand. The fitment is literally "take off old put on new". No gaps, no bending this and that to make it fill better. Its that simple. A 30 minute process....
Now you will hurt your bumper yes, but thats part of buying the part to begin with. You know the consequences when buying something like that. Like the gamble on doing that hot chick at the party with no jimmy hat. Surprise your a dad and now have herpes. But if thats what you wanted well then its your own fault.
BUT i can totally see RW point. He is hardcore drifter. It would be the dumbest thing he could possibly do. Thus this is why his bumper is off when he drifts....im assuming, and for better air flow.
But its no different than buying a stock bumper anyways. Low is low no matter what bumper is on there........its just some are cheaper. But if you want a certain look, well then thats what you have to do. PAY TO PLAY. Just like clothes....sure i could get the walmart special. 5 pairs of jeans for 80 bucks. Or you could get the 1 pair of versace's for 100......(i dont lol). But thats just how it is. People want what they want.
THis could be a track car only, a show car, etc....
Here is there site.....
www.t-and-e.co.jp Personally i say go for it....less hassle in the long run. And if it does crack...woopedy do, nothing some fiberglass cant fix.

Exactly, I have no problems paying for quality.
I won't buy shit that will get worn through though. or thats the exact same thing and cheaper.
Paying 2 Grand for something thats gonna get drug on the ground and hit by cones or rumble strips and burnt by tires is fucking dumb.
The first day I put my bumper on I hit a Racoon and the bumper was gone. I got to laugh it off since a new bumper is 150$ for me. had that been hippo sleek or something cool I would have been counting the shells.
Theres no way around it. if your car is high enough to where that won't happen its gonna look like ass crackers anyhoo.

yea i totally get what your saying. Thats why im keeping stock bumpers/skirts personally. If i did buck up and get a nice quality all around KIT, then hell, it definantly wouldnt be a daily driver.......to much shit can happen. Just like the coon to the bumper.....there's no way in avoiding that. It just happens. And you sit there and punch the ground and flip off mother earth. And kick the dead coon. But in the end, the dead coon still wins in a way lol.

Ebay has come a long way.
A year ago side skirts would be 2in long and lame shit like that.
my side skirts clipped on and with the OEM Center bracket 2 zipties kept the front bumper lined up perfectly and made it home at 100mph.
The Ebay mold is far from perfect. But there is zero excuse to go above Version select or Origin. ZERO.

So somehow you've managed to crack a urethane bumper with an ABS lip and you think Vertex is gonna last?
You will be replacing bumpers.
Spending 600+$ on a high attrition part is so rediculous it makes me want to kick a baby.

No Offense, but not thinking like that on somethings gets you a Sil 80 or Zenki with Vertex and FN01RCs.
I'm not one to go on about being original. but Nico cookie cutter style is about as cool as slamming my weiner in a door.
