top speed?

What is around the top speed for my camaro with 3.73's in it? i am trying to decide if i am getting them or 3.42's.

well with 3.42's I've done 160 and had a bit of room left on the tach... so... you should go plenty fast enough with 3.73's

ya but i have a 92 with the lame 305, i think it has less rpm's

well the 305 doesnt have a top end correct? so if thats true, the higher the gear ratio the more it should help, in a sense.... because the engine wont have to work as hard to turn the wheels at a higher rpm.... I'm not sure what your top speed would be... Im guessing it shouldn't change too much, you might just get to it faster

well i don't have a governor if that is what you mean by top end.

my speedo only goes to 110 but i had my speedo maxed out and i kept going faster...and i have 3.42's with a 305tbi and 700r4

i found some on ebay for $35, it is only crank and alt tho. Will this hurt the water pump any or will it slow down cooling?

Yup its american and can only go fast in a straight line....... the only american car i like is the gt40 but that was basically british hence the reason it handles well :)

I watch top gear and had to laugh at that vette........ id have a TVR anyday of the week...... Clarkson was amazed that the US car could go round corners but it aint up to European standards... not even close

yea ok buddy, and I'm sure you've driven a new zo6 and a TVR because if you haven't than that would make you just some guy who has no idea of his own and has to just go off of other people opinions that he sees/reads. Also look up the fastest time the z06 has posted at Nürburgring and see how that compares. Your just some jerk that decided to make an account just to harrass people.

And yeah, the 305 86 & up maxes at 4200 stock.

The 85 has a little more breath in it but not much, closer to 4800 -5k
