alright guys are you more into show, or would you rather be fast?
I used to be more into the looks, but as of now i could care less about what my car looks like, and would rather be fast.
What about you?

Im into both. My car is going to look good first cept for minor engine mods (i/h/e). then ill go for the Go part. Only reason im not swapping first is cause a couple months back i blew my headgasket , which cracked my head and block ( good ole aluminumm DX engines). I only had enough $$$ to buy a 30,000 mile DX engine from a engine replacement place. Since this is my only car I had to get it back on the road ASAP. Sooo..im still stuck with my DX engine and wanna put some miles on it b4 i swap for something else, or else i woulda wasted money on this engine...

I'm for both, but so far, my car tends towards the "show" side. But that'll all change when I put my D16Y8 in (and all the other parts I haven't installed yet... I gotta get off my ass!).

I'm all for go... show goes out of style (just look what happened to altezza lights...)
Having a fast ass car never goes out of style... do you ever hear someone saying "Running 10s is so played out..." :P

I like both, but am currently into more show. Right now, I am kinda mad because it seems like i can never dry my car without streaking it. I have a shammy (chamois i think is the right way to spell it) but it still comes out streaky. Mainly I am into show because it is cheaper to do show mods. But I am also into audio, and was into audio way before I got into show or go. The first mod I did on my car was clear corners and bumper lenses, and probably would have never got these if both my bumper lenses werent broken. (I got the corners also cause hey, its gotta match) After being critisized by my dad for buying corners also, he realised that the car looks pretty dope with clears cause it all matches up with the headlights and shit. After that I did the stereo (Aiwa Z117 Deck, Alpine 6 1/2" Rear (transplanted from old car) and Pioneer 6 1/2's doors ($10 ebay)
Anyhow, I am not going to detail what order all my mods were in because I am starting not to remember anyway, and its all in my sig so does the order really matter?

I love having my car be able to handle turns and things at 60+mph with no trouble, and I love how it can out handle pretty much anything newer than it almost. But if my car was covered in rust and shit I wouldn't be bragging about it. So you need a 50/50 of both really.

I prefer to go fast, but since my car is starting to rust in a couple places I'm putting a 6 piece kit, along with a custom Orange paint job First.
Then this winter i am rebuiling the engine to handle 14psi, and 100 shot of zex to spool up the turbo :D

I'm for both. Like crxlvr I've only got mostly "show" mods so far. A swap is in the near future, but I figure that as long as the 1.5 is runnin', why replace it? I'll be going Z6 or Y8 soon though...after that, it's all about the 4g CTR :)..... You'll see....

In the early days of my 4G ownership, all I cared about was making it look impressive, but as I have become more mechanically knowledgeable, I find myself far more interested in going than showing. I hope to one day have a car respectable for both. All in due time...

you gotta have a ballance something more to the affects of lie 65/35 instead of 50/50 b/c for show it's all about having a clean respectable car and not some gaudy ungly ass kit and shit i men stock can ook tite if you do it right and you gotts have the power to back it up

last time I saw a post w/that title was years ago back on PH:)
I'm looking for another 4G that looks like a piece of crap, that way I can dump all my money into the engine and not worry about anyone stealing it:D

least thats the way i'd describe the civic lol. Thanks to autocrossing alot of the car kinda stays "all business", I have the base model momo wheel (which I got just so i could turn the car faster not to look pretty). My harness is a black simpson one that mounts to the floor. I don't have actaully wheels, just VW 15' steelies lol.
However...when you race...you wanna look good too lol. Otherwise i never would have repainted the car a year ago to the Type-R black it is now. And the red "H"badges, and my red engine bay haha gotta love it. As for the muffin shooter out back....yea it will be gone someday i swear!
