they say 5-10... some even say up to 20... but those are just numbers, you wont notice anything, it will just give you satisfaction in knowing you have the best filter you can get

Very very little difference.

If you need to save money...get a paper air filter and just make sure it is clean periodically.

Try checking out AmsOil air filters.... They are better than a K & N.. Well that was what I was told at my job ( NAPA ).... You get minimal horsepower gains with a K & N ( I know cause I put one in my Firebird ), but it is the satisfaction that your ride has the best and it rarely never needs to be cleaned.. Also try looking on ebay you can get a K & N air filter for no more than $35.00 dollars..

on my new yorker, i went from a completely clogged and black old fram air filter to a brand new k&n and it felt like a whole different car lol, and on the other side of things, on my firebird, i went from a brand new napa gold regular air filter to a k&n and never noticed it that much, the more choked your engine is, the more you'll notice a k&n :p

but i'd still pick up a k&n...

K&N, Accel Kool Blue, Amsoil are all good. Just be careful to not over oil it! Could mess up your MAF.

I've heard 1-2 HP gain + you never have to buy another just clean it and reoil.

1-2 hp gain? i thought it would be more out of a ram air. i mean ive heard 25 and i know thats probably b.s. but i figured atleast 10. K&N will sell like a kit for it?

errr. i think he was talking about the regular air filters, ram air can get you a decent horse boost, if you go from stock air filter to like a ram air with a k&n i could see getting 25 horse out of it. possibly more depending on intake and stuff.

Ram air doesnt really help any at the dyno because the air isnt being rammed in from forward motion so it would be expected to come out nearly the same

Doesn't help much until 80+ MPH.
It isn't a true ram air. Although it is a VERY effective cold air intake.
