Sup guys,
First off let me say that I did a search prior to posting and although I did find several post's, some were old, some weren't relative and on some I had already done what what the responders of those post's recommended. This isnt anything new but I own a Alphasonik PMZ12005A 1200W amp and every time I powere on/off the radio the sub makes this annoying thump. I know it doesn't mess anything up, but it's really annoying. I tried regrounding both my Pioneer head unit as well as my amp, Played around with the RCA's and nothing. I understand they sell some kind of filter but dont know if it's really worth purchasing or where to buy it. Can you guys give me some helpful advice, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Back in the day when I had my Tercel, with this one really shitty amp I had I would always get this whinning sound as if it was coming from the alternator. Well I bought the lower quality noise filter then the higher quality one and both of them did nothing for the amp but it turned out that the problem was the amp. But as for your issue, It seems like alot of stereo set ups do that thump sound your referring to and I've always thought that it was normal. Let me know if you do go the route of the noise filter, if it works or not.

It's normal. Some amps have a soft turn on and some don't. It won't hurt a thing.

Yea, I know it's normal for some amps to do that and also that it won't hurt anything. It's just annoying as hell, not to mention it scare's the shit out of my lil 5 yr old son when he's in the back seat. lol.
I remember reading some where that they sell some kinda of On/Off filter. Just wondered if you guys have experienced the same thing with your amps and if you did anything to resolve it.

I just got this from one of the other forums. I'll be giving it a shot this weekend.
