i wish a track was open around here, me and my cousin are gonna take our big v6's out just for fun...i'm surprised by those times, thought they would be a lil quicker

yea, it's the traction, those 60' times are more than my aurora, and it has no low torque at all. get a pair of BFG drag radials and you'll be putting down 60' times under 2.0 and be in or really close to the 13's

im just glad i didnt get shamed by any of the hondas that were zipping around. Most of those mild turbo ones hit the low 14's. I got in the pro street line by accident(never been to the track before) and obviously lost to the other guy but that was ok with me. the second time the srt4 that I would have gone up against backed out for whatever reason. That first run I just stomped the gas when the light turned and burned all of first gear and hooked when i got to second...it was deffinetly a lot of fun though
how bout some hoosier R3S04 race tires? i know of a guy selling a used pair for 150. Would have to see what kind of tread is left though...

you don't wanna go too sticky with the race tires cuz you'll shred that stock rear end on the first launch. The BFG's will do just fine.

:iagree:
you deffinately need to fix those 60ft times....like they said some slicks or do you have a adjutable torque arm...im puting down 2.2-2.3 60ft times with my 305tbi so a torque arm should help

Isn't it like every .5 you drop off you 60' is about a second off you quarter mile or something like that?
