Hey, I still watch every once in a while. Definitely some good times. Bakina Son Goku.

Heh, I stopped watching it way back into the end of the Freiza saga, when Goku kicked his ass was basicly the last episode I watched.

Goku did f*** him up. Believe it or not, i actually enjoy watching the Japanese version, for the simple fact you can't understand what there saying. With subtitle of course, but sometimes those aren't 100% correct.

yea um anyways i watched dbz too, but i dont have the cash, nor the gas money for a new engine, so tell me what mods i can do, as in intake, exhaust, and others........anything thats not too expensive. please help.

free up the intake... cold air or open element, I don't remember what the throttle body setup is on 3.1s. Open element is cheap, cold air you can fab up one yourself also for basically pocket change.

get a 2.5" or 3" (not sure that the 3.1 can utilize the 3") exhaust, magnaflow is good, and 3rd gens have the same (or very similar) exhaust pattern as the 4th gens so you can get a 4th gen catback and it SHOULD bolt up with minimal modification. My 3" Magnaflow LT1 catback I got new, discounted, for $320.

Gears are always good... 3.42s or 3.73s should make you happy, then again im not sure if the 3.1 can take full advatage of 3.73s... you can drop in a rear out of an LT1 4th gen and get disc brakes, a limited slip and 3.42s easily and painlessly, will just have to update the speedo gear and the proportioning valve. I got mine for $250 from contemporary corvette in bristol, PA BUT would NOT recommend dealing with them.

Aluminum driveshaft out of an LS1 4th gen will also help and you can buy one from FormulaLT1 for 150 plus shipping (unless ur close to NJ and can pick it up)... will bolt right in.

That'll probably suit your budget's appetite for now, haha

V8, the only true upgrade.

What about some Nitrous? You think it can take a 100shot? Would be nice to have whenever a race goes down. I also believe the V6 throttle body set-up waas like that of a tpi. I always see the longer throttle body rubber boot attach the same dual airbox i have on my car, on the departed at the junkyard.

:werd: amen brotha. I could care less about gaining an instant 150hp from swapping to a V8. That's for straight up pussies who want to take a short cut to gaing HP. I'd love to see you try to keep up with a Supra, Skyline, or even the NSX (which btw, only takes 5.7 seconds from 0-100). Yeah those cars may be imports, but at least they show the potential of V6's. So if having a V8 is an "upgrade" then you can consider me happily downgraded.

Thanks guys, especially savage messiah, u gave a lot of good suggestions.......i think im gonna do the open element. with maybe 2 1/2 exhaust, flowmaster has good stuff, but magnaflow might do better. what do you think, o and im gettin it repainted.....to its original........ultra bright, fire engine red color. and paintin the rims er uh, hub caps, whatever they are.......mine are pink :licka: cause the sun faded them.

Wow, you all have no idea.....well you probably do, but I had to replace a seal type thing, idk what you call it, its where the exhaust pipe meets the headers.....anyways, i got the driver side one off....and it was hard cause I had to set up a ramp type thing to drive up on so i could fit under my car...:banghead: then i had to try to get it off, the passenger side will be harder though, i had advance auto order 2 new ones for me. Ill put one on tomorrow and the other this weekend. I am about to say screw it and sell the thing. The person who had it before me didnt take care of it at all, never had any maintainance done on it, and let it sit for 3 years. I wouldnt get much out of it cause its not in top shape, but idk. maybe if she will cooporate and be a good little car then ill keep her.:)

You mean the exhaust manifold gasket? Like where the exhaust piping meets the valves? If that's the case then do yourself a favor and don't get the ones for your car. The gaskets they make for 2.8/3.1/3.4's suck so much. They're thin as crap and are prone to leak (trust me, i would know, i have them). The ones you need to get are for the 2.8 Fiero's. So when you go to Advance Auto Parts, just tell them you have an 88 Pontiac Fiero with the 2.8 in it.

Here's what the ones you're buying look like:

Here's the 2.8 Pontiac Fiero gaskets that you should use:
http://www.partsamerica.com/product_images//img/fel/ms93045.jpg

Notice how the Fiero's are more well designed and don't look like they can easily leak? I don't know why they design the two gaskets different when they're virtually the same, but they do. So if you can, try to get the Fiero gaskets so you can save yourself some headaches later on down the road.

Um, yea, i needed a set of O-rings, and yea.....that didnt go too well....i still need them, i went to napa, advance auto, and even a chevy dealer.......and nothing they had would fit my car, so now i had o put the old ones back on.......and now i have a terrible exhaust leak., grrr.........:banghead:
