I have an 89 Voyager that just wouldnt start one day. The starter wouldnt even engage. Soooooo.....replaced the starter and that didnt help sooooo.......after much fiddling and testing and cussing discovered a bad ground. Fixed that problem and now the van will crank but not start. Replaced the rotor but to no avail. It is getting gas as I checked a plug and it had gas on it. It appears to be getting spark to the plugs but the SOB just will not fire. Ive checked and double checked and all wires, connectors etc appear to be connected properly.
My question is......in my fiddling could I have damaged a computer or sensor or does this van even have sensors or a computer. Im an old school mechanic and not very familiar with all these new fangled doodads on newer vehicles. Crank sensors? Cam sensors?
BTW: Timing appears to be fine...at least close enough that I should get a back fire or something. I dont feel this is the problem since van was running great prior to starter problem. Thanks for any help. Steve
