Hi,
I'm wondering about the 6.0 engine.
Is it a 5.7 heritage but bigger?
Or the new design?
Heads aluminum or cast iron?
Etc.

This is a Gen III small block based on the LS1. The 5.7 in GM trucks upto 99 (this includes TBI 87 - 95 and Vortec 96 - 99) was based on a Gen I small block. They are very different beasts.
